Two-button stance. Light padding in the shoulders. Single back vent. Half lining. Imported. $119Really like darker/muddier madras like this. If you have to have bleeding madras, made in the USA, then O'Connell's have over 30 amazing deadstock options to choose from, $300.

I have a great old one already, but the LLBean might be a way to get on the ladder.

i was eyeing that the other day, don't know if I could pull it off?
Two thoughts...
1.) I tried it on, and it's hideous.
2.) It's sad that they decided to make a sweet madras jacket, and that's the horrid scary color scheme they selected.
I love LL Bean, serially. However, sometimes I wish they'd go the extra mile and hit that homerun!
@joshua is the fit bad? i like the darker madras myself but have something similar already. maybe too orangybrownin real life. anyway, thx for the intel.
James, I should say I don't prefer the color scheme. I do prefer those more primary colored patterns, e.g. OConnells, as you mentioned. I didn't find the fit particularly flattering, though it may suite you better. Overall, it probably works as a $119 jacket, but is subpar compaired to a $295 jacket. Know what I mean?
@Joshua understood. yeah the oconnels are badass...
BTW, Where in the North End is Ball and Buck?
@j B&B take a right halfway up hanover. 2 streets over.
Right on. I'm going down to a sox game next month, and that's one of the shops I want to hit up. Thanks.
Ha! I thought the dude in the picture wasn't wearing pants at first. Actually, I can't really tell on second glance either.
Joshua is right, the fit is terrible. Ordered it, sent it right back. It's like wearing a plaid box.
