Is urban woodsman the new snowboard? (in advertising I mean). Silly enough (and one of the first mainstream attempts I've seen) so gets a pass. But poe-faced beards get old fast. That was almost poetic...
More Urban Lumberjackass nonsense... this time from a major marketing firm, so we can now be CERTAIN that it'll be over by year's end. The sissy wouldn't even gut the trout! I also like how they admit that it is all image by him taking her to the outdoors shop to be fitted out: "Babe, if you dress like this, I'll find you attractive." The guy in the commercial looks like an actual woodsman friend of mine who makes shaker furniture with hand-tools. He drives a frighteningly aggressive 1982 Bronco perpetually stuck (seized hub-locks)in 4WD and with the floor pans long since rusted away, and replaced with 3 sections of chain-link fencing so the mud and snow goes from your boots to the ground below while driving or riding.
@YWP - so your friend, then... you know, the "real" woodsman", he's too legit to be beyond ridicule? Seems pretty silly to be driving a car with no floorboards. Perhaps he's doing it for "cred"?
Why do sartorialists bust your chops when you wear flannel, but no one bats an eye when you wear a pair of wingtip?. They may have both lost their original functionality, but it doesn't mean we can't still wear them.
